Illustration Friday: Garden

I painted this a while ago for a possible book. It didn't work out, so I thought that the theme this week was a good excuse to show it. We have had so much snow that it is hard to imagine ever seeing greenery again. Might as well dream about a nice little fairy garden...

Beautiful piece, Susan! Yeah, I know it's still a long way off from seeing images like this for real given the amount of snow up there, but maybe a lengthy "heat wave" will take away the mean snow in good time. Or like you said, you can always dream. : )

Such a beautiful picture-- I wish the book had worked out!

I'm buried under snow too, but the sun is higher in the sky, new birds are stopping through and it doesn't smell so much like winter any more. Spring will get here eventually!

Hello Sweet Pea!

Thank-you for your lovely comments on my little blog :0)
I love your fairy garden, and am very envious of your snow!
What a good idea to write a picture book about Sienna-Rose, we'll have to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something cute!!
