When I saw this book on Amazon, I had to order it. It is full of wonderful stories and photographs of well-loved toys and blankies that are so precious to children. But it was the cover that really got me:

Our son has had a special companion since he was six months old. His name is Boo and he has been through a lot of loving.
The dog on the cover is called Rover. Rover and Boo, separated at birth...

oh my I can understand why you only needed to look at the cover, but wow, boo and rover were most certainly from the same litter :)

I love this post. Rover and Boo are so sweet.
My son had a stuffed fox that he took everywhere. (Actually he has two because he pulled all of the fur off of the first one and ate it.) We couldn't part with the first one even after getting a new one, though. They are currently residing in our attic.
Thanks for posting about this book -- I think it would make a wonderful end-of-year gift for my son's teacher (if I can bear to part with it myself!).
